Move over COVID, we won’t let you ruin Halloween night! Here’s a list of things that you can do to celebrate Halloween indoors, or at least safely by maintaining social distancing.
- Do a Halloween staple sweets contest – let them guess what is the candy while tasting it blindfolded.
- Pumpkin Carving – make it a contest or just simply have a theme for your pumpkins this Halloween!
- Cozy up for a scary movie marathon, make it more fun by giving penalties to whoever screams or cover their eyes.
- Wear your costumes, do a little fashion show and give awards to the scariest and most creative one.
- Halloween Virtual Party – costume contest the new normal way, invite your friends to join your Zoom rooms and do a costume contest or share scary stories.
- Decorate your house, this will make everyone jump into the festive mood.
- Camp Night – inspired by the classic scary tv show “Are You Afraid of the Dark?”, set up a tent in your backyard and have each one share a spooky story!
- Play the traditional Halloween games with family and friends!
- Someone’s knocking trick or treat? Maintain safe distance by handing out candies using a DIY extended ghostly or skeleton hand.
- Make ghosting a fun thing, drop off your treat bags on your friends’ doors, and just leave a note inside the bag to let them know it came from you!
Do not let the pandemic cancel Halloween, here’s a guideline from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to make sure you will have a spooky and safe Halloween celebration.
Have fun and scary All Hallows’ Eve!
